Creating Your Belief System

Overview You have heard that old saying "If you put your mind to something, you can achieve it". But the question is how to really put your mind to something so that you do achieve it. Yes, you can achieve anything if you instruct your mind and sub conscious mind properly. But, unfortunately, most of the people just do not know how to instruct their mind and subconscious mind to achieve what they really want. End up, they give up - if they do not have inner strength. Instead, they end up getting their mind and subconscious mind create things they really do not want. If you do not direct your mind and subconscious mind to focus on what you want, you will likely end up getting what you do not want. It is really that simple. For example, you want to be a manager at your organization, but you never act or focus on how to be it. Then it end up with you are still you, at your not-manager position. How can you stop creating what you do not want and get your mind and subconscious mind to actually work for you? Control Your Mind Most people do not control their mind. They do not instruct their subconscious mind because they do not control their thoughts. Most people are not even aware of the thoughts they have everday. And they do not choose their belief. When you do not choose your belief - that something you have to, your thoughts become autopilot. The journey to no-where destination. Instead, your mind constantly sending wrong messages or wrong instructions to your subconscious mind. That is how you end up creating the life you actually do not want. If you want to be successful and happy, do you have thoughts and beliefs that reflect success and happiness? You must actively choose your thoughts. You decide it. You choose it. You make it happen. You control it. You instruct it. You cannot leave your mind on autopilot, accepting whatever thoughts it conjures up and then you begin to believe these thoughts. If you do not choose your beliefs, means you merely accept what your mind and other people tell you. This is not supposed to be. You may want to be successful and happy. You may do everything you can to be successful and happy. But if you not enjoying the success and happiness you want, then take a moment to analyze your thoughts and beliefs. You will find that what you think is the exact opposite of what you want to achieve. Sure you want to be successful but you really do not have any thoughts or beliefs that suggest you can be successful. Whatever you want to achieve you can if you have a belief system that allows you to succeed. If you want to make more money, you must have a belief system that says you believe you can make more money. If you want to meet the right person, you have to believe that you can meet the right person. If you want to succeed at something, you must believe that you can succeed at it. Only you can say this because it is your success. Nobody cares if you do not succeed, but you care. Your Belief System So how do you create beliefs that correspond with what you want to accomplish? First - think about what you want to achieve. Then ask yourself do you really want to achieve it. Do you really want to accomplish your goal? If you do not believe you can achieve your goal, then there is a work to do and you are going to have to change your belief system so that it allows you to succeed. The best is you include in the reason of why you want to achieve that goal, that you yourown set it. In order to change your belief system, you must analyze your thoughts. Then change it quickly. Do this at a constant manner. Set it at weekly basis or even daily basis. You will be crazy if you do this every hour. Second - list all your thoughts and beliefs that you have about achieveing that goal. For example, if you want to make more money, but you are not making the kind of money you want, then list why you do not think you can make more money. Now change those thoughts to correspind with what you want. These are your new thoughts. These are your new statements. These are your new affirmations. These are what you should think and recite through out the day. Everyday. Third - replace your thoughts. Make a very sure you change your thoughts as discussed above. Replace those lomiting thouhgts with those new thoughts. If you want to achieve success and happiness, then you have to create thoughts and beliefs that allow you those goals. Begin changing your thoughts. Begin changing your beliefs. Your thoughts and beliefs will work for you. Eliminate the negative thoughts forever and ever for better life. Never Borrow To Buy A Depreciating Asset

The late 20th century may have seen one of the greatest economic booms of all time, but that did not stop a lot of people from borrowing themselves into personal bankcruptcy. In fact, over the last 2 years of the century, 1/40 families in the US declared personal bankcruptcy. While many think that most bankcruptcies flow from unemployment or disability, the most common cause is borrowing for the wrong reasons. So let the following be your guide: Never borrow to buy a depreciating asset. In other words, don't borrow for something that is not going to provide you with ever-increasing benefits in later years. That pretty much leaves out most of things that people borrow money for. Most people borrow money to finance either current spending or to buy something that loses value over the years, like, dare I say, a car. I can think of only 3 things that qualify as appreciating assets and are tehrefore worth going into hock for: (1) a home, (2) sensible home improvements, and (3) a college education. Incidentally, I did not mention borrowing to buy stock, although a lot of people seem to think that makes a lot of sense. But borrowing to invest only makes sense if you can be sure that your investments will appreciate in value. And no one can be sure of that. So don't do it. Simple. So next time your investment adviser or broker recommends that you either borrow on margin againts your current investments, or worse, take out home equity loan to invest the money, don't do it. For example, they will try to convince you by saying that investment will earn a profit margin of 15%, and interest rate for borrowing is 8%, and you will gain 7% profit after all. This is too dangerous, same like you are gambling.

I have seen it happen too many times, and if you don't act now, it may happen to you. It's easy to fall into the trap. But that's not how it works, and this trap is one of the most common reasons why it has happened too often in the past, and will continue to happen in the future. What exactly are we dealing with here? What is so deadly to the goals and hopes you have stored away in your head? It is ROUTINE.

A very unusual experiment was conducted by John Fabre, the French naturalist, consisting of processionary caterpillars, a type of caterpillar that blindly follows the one in front of it. This explains the name processionary caterpillar. The experiment consisted of several of these caterpillars, a flowerpot filled to the rim with dirt, and pine needles. The caterpillars formed a complete circle around the rim of the flowerpot, with the first one touching the back of the last one. The pine needles, the food of the processionary caterpillar, were placed in the center of the circle. The caterpillars began their procession around the flowerpot, one following the other in a circle. This went on hour after hour, day after day, for an entire week. In the end, every one of the caterpillars dropped dead of starvation.

The one thing that could have saved them was only six inches away, but without purposeful thought or action, the caterpillars continued with a habitual routine that eventually proved too much to endure. This is happening to people you know, maybe even you, although not to this degree. Get stuck doing the same old thing every single day and your goals, sitting only inches away, are as good as gone.

Plain and simple. You might think it's a little too simple, but falling into a routine can destroy your life. I have very strong beliefs about this because I have seen it happen to people close to me, as I'm sure you have as well. Good friends and family start off with bright hopes for the future, but their routine begins to take their place. 'No time, no time,' is a common excuse. After seventy years of having no time to do the things you have always wanted to do you'll end up with nothing but a good excuse in the end. This is your life we are talking about here. It's worth taking the time to break the pattern of habit and creating the changes you wish to make. There is little more that is as important as the life you create and the good you leave behind. Settle Your Credit Card Debt

Overview

Generally, Credit Card is a disaster. It ruins your life and damage your cash flow. Normally, we will say that " I just use credit card during emergency", " I just use my Credit Card for fuel". But you know what? This is nonsense. We will use it at anytime, to buy unnecessary things. Mainly because influenced with bad promotions that kill us like "BUY NOW AND SAVE 60%"..."BUY AND SAVE NOW" or because of lack of knowledge about Wants and Needs and few important financial knowledge. The fact is, if you buy, you spend out your money. You take out your money from pocket and wallet. This is totally not a saving, because you spend out your money, out of your pocket. Can't you see it? You must really understand In and Out of your cash flow now.Please..if you buy, it is not save at all. Don't get lured into making a wrong decision.

The Fact About Credit Card

Credit Card, generally, charges you at 1.5% per month. It accumulated to be 18% per year. However, in fact, if you pay the minimum payment every month and you pay beyond the due date, you are being charged more than 18%. This is simply because you will be charged for the lateness - Late Charges Fee. Normally the charges is 1% over the remaining balance by daily basis. Remember the word here - daily basis! It means charge on charge or double charge. And it continues until you make the payment. The calculation is made to be very complex in order to confuse you more and more.

Just take example - you used RM1000, minimum payment will be 5% which is RM50. When you delay the payment, you will be charged 1% on RM1050, which is another RM10.50. If you delay again, you will be charged and got penalty another 1% on RM1060.50. It never stop until you pay your debt. Example here shows that instead of being charged 1.5%, you are being charged 2.5%.

Normal Settlement:

If you used RM10000, with normal minimum payment constantly, it takes 87 months or 7.33 years to settle. The calculation is as below:
First Month: RM10000 X 1.5% interest = RM10150. Minimum payment 5% = RM10150 X 5%
= RM507.50.
Second Month: RM10150 - RM507.50 = RM9642.50. Interest = RM9642.50 X 1.5% =
RM144.64. Total Up Usage plus interest = RM9787.14. Minimum payment 5% =
RM9787.14 X 5% = RM489.36.

The same calculation goes until 87 months. With the calculation:
Total amount you pay for 87 months = RM13973.64.
Total interest of your payment for 87 months = RM3973.64.
Total interest rate for 87 months = 39.74%.
(Total amount you used = RM10000).

So now, how to settle this earlier or faster? 7.33 years is not a short time. It is more burden to you if you used up more than one credit card. I have a better way to help you to settle this earlier.

Fast Track Settlement:

The fastest way is to convert the payment into Easy Payment Installment Plan. Easy payment plan means you fix the rate and the installment. When you fix the rate and installment, the benefit is you will definitely get lower interest rate. It just a matter which bank you select, or which credit card you use and how long the installment is allowed whether 1 year, 3 years or 5 years.

If you take the same example as above, whereby you used RM10000, and find a better way to settle it. The best rate now for Easy Payment Installment Plan is 6.33% per year. If we round the number to 7%, it means you save 11% interest per year. Is it great? Of course my dear. The calculation is as below:

RM10000 / [1 - (0.633 X 3 years installment)] = RM12345.68.
RM12345.68 / 36 months installment = RM342.94.

So, you just pay RM342.94 for 3 years, instead of normal payment with minumum payment for 7.33 years!
Total amount you pay for 36 months = RM12345.68.
Total interest you pay for 36 months = RM2345.68.
Total interest rate for 36 months = 23.46%.
(Total amount you used = RM10000).

In summary:
Normal Credit Card Easy Payment
Total amount paid RM13973.64 RM12345.68
Total interest paid RM3973.64 RM2345.68
Total interest saved = RM1627.96
Total interest rate 39.74% 23.46%
Total interest rate saved = 16.28%
Total months paid 87 months (7.33 years) 36 months (3 years)
Total months saved = 51 months (4.33 years)

Have you ever wondered why some professional athletes lose a major competition even when they are heavily favored, and physically superior than their opponent? A hint - it's all in the mind. Why is it? The man who was once the most feared fighter in the world? It's the same reason why a top athlete loses to an inferior athlete. Example 2; Lee Chong Wei, Malaysian badminton player and World Number 1 Badminton Player still as of November 2009, lost to unfavorable player from Holland in China Open Super Series Tournament in November 2009. And it's the same reason why you sometimes never achieve a goal even though you really want to. So what is the reason? In a very simple word - DESIRE.

Most people either lose their desire to succeed, don't have the desire to succeed, have the wrong desire attached to their goal or don't know what their real desire is. The last 2 are where most people fall. They may want to achieve certain goals but don't have the right desire attached to their goal. Or don't know what their real desire is.

Your desire is what fuels your success. If you don't have the desire to achieve your goals, you are not going to achieve it. A goal without a desire is like driving a car without fuel. What Is Your Desire?

Let's face it. We all want a lot of things and we all would like to have a lot of different things in our lives. But you must know that wanting and desiring something are very different thing. For example: you may want to make more money, but what do you really desire? If you think that money will give you more time, more security, more freedom, then what you really desire is freedom, security, more time and perhaps a comfortable lifestyle. You want more money but you really desire something completely different, something that you think having more money will allow you to achieve.

Realizing and understanding your core desire is critical to your success.

On the other hand, why Muhammad Ali succeed? Muhammad Ali, had a burning desire to be heavyweight champion of the world. His desire was not money but it was "fame". That is why he always came back until his body could no longer fulfill his desire. Nelson Mandela had a burning desire not just for personal freedom but for the freedom of all blacks in South Africa. It was same to William Wallace of Scotland freedom as you saw in Braveheart movie. Bill Gates has a desire to see a computer in every home in the world. And we are almost at that point now.
Warren Buffet has a desire to make money by investing, and he continues to be successful.

Having a desire is what fuels your ability to succeed. You may want to make a million dollars but what is it that you truly desire? Is it a better home? A better life, more time, financial security? If this is your desire then this is what you need to focus on regularly. Especially when you think about taking steps to make a million dollars, or whatever amount you want to make.
You should understand first why you truly want to accomplish a certain goal. This is how you will identify your true desire. If you decide that you want to improve your health so that you live a longer healthier life, then you have a real desire to improve your health. Do you see the difference between simply wanting to achieve something and having a desire to achieve something? When you know your desire, you should think about that desire regularly, every day, every moment and constantly look for ways to achieve the goal that will allow you to fulfill that desire. It is focus. Am I right? If you want to have success, if you want to achieve your goals, if you want to enjoy happiness and a better life - then you have to understand your true desire, or why you want to achieve your goals. You can create your desire by simply looking at the goal you want and understanding how achieving that goal would significantly improve your life. Or maybe the lives of those around you. If you're not clear on your desire, then start thinking about how accomplishing that goal will improve your life and the lives of those around you. It will give you more "power" and create internal strength to allow your body follow your mind.

This next step requires that you create a belief system that corresponds with what you truly desire. This means having beliefs and attitudes that allow you to fulfill your desire. You can't desire to have a better life and then believe that it's difficult to make more money and improve your life. You can't have a desire to be married and have a belief or say that it's difficult to meet the right man or woman. If you have a belief that is in conflict with what you desire, then you are really defeating yourself before you even start any battle. If you know your desire, then you have fuel in your car. But if you have the wrong beliefs then you're going to drive your car in the wrong direction. You still won't get to where you want to go. You still won't achieve your goals if you don't have the right belief system. So now that you know your desire, watch your thoughts. Keep track of what you regularly think, say and do. Make sure that what you regularly think, say and do help you achieve your desire and don't work against you. I suggest that you keep a notepad and pen handy so that you track your thoughts, words and actions. If you catch yourself thinking, saying or doing something that isn't in line with your desire or doesn't support your desire, then change that thought, word, or action. So that it does support your desire.
For example: If you want to get more money so that you can have a financial freedom and spend more time at home with your family, but you catch yourself saying it's difficult to make money, then you need to change that thought to something like: it's easy to make money with the right business and people. Get the idea?

When you do this, you actually start to redirect your mind and instruct your subconscious mind to create the life you want. When you have the right desire and when you properly instruct your subconscious mind, you actually virtually guarantee your success. You essentially become unstoppable.
